Please circulate the following to anyone who might find it of interest. Functional programming, formal methods, and type theory are among the `departmental interests' mentioned in the advertisement. The money for the one-year temporary lectureship is coming from an industrial research grant that I secured; so strong candidates in these areas have a fair chance for at least one of the posts. Any exceptionally strong candidate would be considered for the permanent lectureship, regardless of research area. Please write to me if you have any questions.
