Early registration would be appreciated.] This is the second invitation and call for contributions to the 9th INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOP on the IMPLEMENTATION of FUNCTIONAL LANGUAGES (IFL '97) ============================================================================ ====== to be held at the University of St Andrews, St Andrews, Scotland Wednesday, Sept 10th - Friday, Sept 12th 1997 http://www.dcs.st-and.ac.uk/~ifl97/ email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Scope of IFL '97 ---------------- The workshop is intended to provide an open forum for researchers who wish to present and discuss new ideas and concepts, work in progress, preliminary results etc. related to the implementation of functional or function-based languages. Topics of interest include (but are not restricted to): o language concepts o type checking o compilation techniques o (abstract) interpretation o automatic program generation o (abstract) machine architectures o concurrent programming and program execution o heap management o runtime profiling and performance measurements and also applications of functional programming. Contributions and Publication Details ------------------------------------- All attendees are encouraged to submit papers to be published in the draft proceedings and to give presentations at the workshop. We hope to follow the lead of IFL '96 in publishing a selected subset of high-quality contributions in the Springer LNCS series. Papers published in this way will be refereed to normal conference standards. The workshop fee will be around 225 UK pounds sterling, including 3 nights accommodation, all meals, the conference banquet, the draft proceedings and the social event. Extra nights' accommodation can be reserved at a reasonable rate.
