The time has come, after many years of varied pleasures, for me to unsubscribe from the Haskell mailing list. I have tried sending unsubscribe messages to both haskell.org and Glasgow, and have tried contacting their postmaster. All to no avail. Can someone please get me off this list? I've been on the list right from the beginning and it's been very pleasing to see this great notion turn out so successfully. It's tempting to offer advice... Eg * Don't be scared of niches. Remember the time before Perl was an "Internet programming language"? * Concentrate on applications where Haskell provides a quantum leap in advantage, not a marginal one * Every day, ask yourself "What could be more interesting than Haskell?". Demand an answer. Yours with best wishes and some regrets (even in the silly season :) ) Paul Kelly Dept of Computing Imperial College London
