This note lists functional-programming-related sources, etc., that are
available within the UK by NIFTP from uk.ac.glasgow.dcs. (They are
*not* [yet] available by normal Internet FTP that you read about on
the net; don't bother with the "ftp" command on your system!)
In all cases, use a _binary_ transfer, as user "guest", with your
e-mail address as your password. For example, a typical command you
might use to grab the Haskell report source would be:

Mark Jones's interpreter for a Haskell-like language. Written
in C (boo! hiss!). Runs on Suns and PCs.

Phil Wadler's Simple Type Checker written in a monadic style.

Prototype Glasgow Haskell compiler, based on the LML compiler.
Written in LML; works on Sun3s. "hc-0.41-bin-sun3.tar.Z" is a
pre-built ready-to-go installation for a SunOS 4.x Sun3.
"hc-0.41-bin-sun4to3.tar.Z" is a pre-built Sun4-to-Sun3
cross-compiler installation to *go with* a Sun3 installation.
"hc-0.41-src.tar.Z" is the source for everything.

Some (many :-?) slides from a talk by Paul Hudak, describing
Haskell.
<FP>lml-bin-sun3.tar.Z

Version 0.99.3 of the LML distribution from Chalmers.
Includes both a compiler ("lmlc") and an interpreter ("lmli").
Also includes a compiler for "Haskell B" ("hbc").
Pre-built distributions for Sun3s and Sun4s, and one of all
the source.
We also have the Yale Haskell distribution, but they prefer that you
ask them for the FTP instructions (so they know who has it). Please
send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] indicating the system under
which you will be running Yale Haskell.
For Internet FTP users: all of this material is available from either
nebula.cs.yale.edu or animal.cs.chalmers.se.
We will continue to maintain up-to-date versions of all of this
software. Let me know if you have any problems with this stuff.
