Dear all,
we installed Perl 5.8.7 but the same problem persists. Unfortunately, no older
version of perl is available.
We are using debian 9. Maybe its a problem with the general setup?

Without prior messages appended it is hard to know what you are referring to;
however, we will have a version that works with FreeSurfer 6.0 very soon.
