In September 2004, the Library of Congress Cataloging Policy and Support Office (CPSO) posted an invitation for comments on a proposal for a new policy on establishing headings for government-designated parks, forests, etc. Comments were accepted through December 31, 2004. After completing its analysis and review of the comments that were received, CPSO has now implemented the new policy.
