Harkavy is a bit better since he also indicates that it sometimes acts
as a conjunction and gives examples.
It might be nice to have a nod to this in a future ed. of Maher.

Weinreich's 2nd definition applies here. This דאָס is a demonstrative
pronoun and not the neuter-gender definite article.
