What language/framework are you using? If it's a publicly accessible API you don't really need to do anything. Just make sure there aren't any authentication requirements and your route returns should be json instead of rendering any HTML. With flask, I recommend the flask.jsonify method. If you have any private endpoints, I'd recommend a 3rd party auth provider like auth0.
