Hi,

I do apologize for any problems you've experienced. To my knowledge
herokugarden.com has been continuously available, and we do not
operate an IP black list. We have been experiencing some issues with

Hey, Morten,

Nah, I'm not sure less-than-snappy describes what has been going on
the past 5 days. 'Downright broke' would be more is keeping with what
I saw.

My main issue remains 14 14:00 eastern -- acts_as_authenticated worked
fine before the swap, and hasn't since. I haven't changed anything in
the code.

However, I have been checking regularly, and 500 errors on the edit
pages and 502 errors on the app pages were showing up pretty regularly
all weekend.

Not complaining--just wanted you to know the horse isn't ready for the
race quite yet.

Thanks for all you guys do!

ok here's some more symptoms:

On attempt to access app get
 Connection Interrupted
The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.
The network link was interrupted while negotiating a connection.
Please try again.

This keeps happening no matter what,

If I rename the app, it serves the home page but then any/every action
got 502.

curently I can access the herokugarden control page, can see apps
listed. Cannot edit app wwhow.

update your RAILS_GEM_VERSION setting in config/environment.rb for the
Rails version you do have installed, or comment out RAILS_GEM_VERSION

I tried creating a new app just to see what version it was using and
it showed 2.1. Is 2.2.2 no longer available?

1) Error: test_truth(BlogControllerTest): PGError: FATAL: password authentication failed for user test_app35914

2009-01-20 Thread bnlandry

I'm getting the error in the subject line when I run tests on my
project. This error came out of nowhere; consecutive tests with no
changes resulted in it, and all prior snapshots now show it, including
snapshots that were previously error free. I am wondering if this is a
Heroku issue, since 'usertest_app35914' doesn't look like anything
in my project and resembles something internal to Heroku. Thanks for
the input

Re: nokogiri gem

2009-01-20 Thread Keenan Brock

Hi,

I read that nokogiri is a drop in replacement for hpricot. Not sure
exactly how close the APIs are.

Have you tried your app with hpricot? It is at least a pure ruby
implementation. Making it easier to deploy to a server where you can
not compile c gems.

Not sure if hpricot has acceptable performance or if it meets your
needs, but thought it may be worth a shot.
