I'm still looking into the code, but I have been for a while without a

I use dynamic proxies to implement my interfaces. So all of my objects
(entities) that I want to persist are interfaces and not JavaBeans. They
have to be instantiated using Proxy.newProxyInstance.
Can I persist these objects using Hibernate? And if so, how?

The CodeGenerator tool generates private setters/getters. Is there a way
to force it to generate public setters/getters?
