I intermittently receive the following exception from
net.sf.hibernate.impl.SessionImpl.flushEntities when trying to save changes
to my object under Hibernate.
HibernateException: identifier of an instance of com.test.catalog.om.Product
altered from 46-606 to 46-606
Note the extra spaces aft

"torben2" is active and I don't have any other mails in the queue. We
have about 10 new users each day.

I would like to know the recommended mechanism for doing field validations.
I have seen the validate method on Validatable but my question is this: Hibernate
knows which dialect I am using, it also knows the length of the string field in the DB
(either we told it in the mapping or it knows the
"hibernate not bound",
I'm getting that error from one of my ActionServlets.
