One thing to consider with using the JDK 1.4 logging implementation is
that everyone forced to run on WebSphere Application Server 5.0.x is
stuck with a 1.3 JDK.

continue to do that. Sometimes tagging may happen slightly after the
generation of a release build, and if commits occur in between it might
produce unreliable results, hence the proposition.
