Tim Morken in pathology at UC San Francisco Medical Center asks about the Hirsch-Pfeiffer (correct spelling) cresyl violet stain for frozen sections.
"I've found many references to it, but none that give the procedure. And the original paper is from 1955 not easily available. And is in German." If you can get the paper, I can read it for you.
