Got a quick question for you. I am getting ready to go over to a new start up
lab that will be doing all IHC staining in house.
I have set up a lab before and done validations but that was on equipment and
special stains which I will be doing again and feel pretty good
So for your first one I love the Sakura Tissue-Tek VIP. Easy to use, easy
maintenance, and very customizable for programed runs.
Every lab I have been in has always started at 70. It saves the techs extra
time mixing up dilutions because you can always find RTU 70%. It also helps I

I recently started a position with the University of North Texas Health Science
Center as their Histology Research Associate. During a quick meeting with my
director he mentioned that he was interested in possibly setting up a
'microcredentialing' program for Histology
So I am working for a brand new lab that has been open since September. We
currently perform all our specials by hand (roughly 7 stains; 3 silvers) and
our numbers are starting to shoot up big time on them.
Any recommendations on special stainers and kits that go with them? We are a
