[Histonet] Decolorizing effect on IHC stain

2014-12-02 Thread Laurie Best
Is there any information available that would indicate the effect of
decolorizing an HE stained slide on subsequent IHC staining / antigenicity?
Thanks, Laurie

Hi Bernice,

We have the TMArrayer from Pathology Devices and we love it.
Easy to use, we had no problem with it since 3 years and built quite a lot

[Histonet] mortuary scales advice

2014-12-02 Thread Finlay Finlay
Hello all,

I am searching for a weighing scale that will record multiple organ weights
during autopsy and then allow display of all data at the end of the session.
Ideally this would be a stand-alone unit rather than computer linked. Does
anyone have experience with this sort of equipment?

Thank you

Speaking for myself and the labs I have managed, I have been checking ALL temps
and recording them since the early 90’s. These include waters baths for tissue
flotation, and ones used for special stains, ovens, refrigerators, freezers,
cryostats, tissue processors, embedding centers, decloaking chambers and room
temps.

[Histonet] FoxP3 and Geminin Immunohistochemistry

2014-12-02 Thread Swartwood, Steven J
Hello all,

I've done some research on Foxp3 and Geminin and I've seen a few antibodies
that look sufficient for IHC in FFPE tissues. My lab is currently looking into
purchasing these antibodies for a few different projects.

Does anyone on here use these two antibodies for IHC in FFPE tissues? I'm going
to use them in bright field, but we may also turn to IF for other studies.

I'd be grateful for any information from what clone/company do you buy from and
retrieval methods to primary antibody incubations/dilutions.

Thank you all for any information,
