Hi Netters,
Does anyone have a Bronchoscopy Procedure they could please share with me? I
need the Pathology side of how the specimen is processed. I have found a few
for collection by surgery but not our end of it.

If you are in an area where a company named Stericycle is available, they
decant the formalin and dispose of the tissue for you. Our tissue is collected
in barrels, they are picked up and Stericycle handles the rest. If you add up
your employees time plus all the safety issues involved in

No you just put all your containers in the barrel...sit them in there. They
decant the formalin at the company and incinerate the tissue.
I've used them at several hospitals. It saves so much time and safety to your

The only certified formalin neutralizer that I know of is from Scigen. They
also sell the test kit. Ask your company for their certification.. that the
product actually works.
