I read this in the Singapore Strait Times,
http://straitstimes.asia1.com.sg/asia/mal5_1108.html. Sometimes I think to
myself is our children safe in school or hostel? I couldn't find this piece
of news in Berita Harian or the Local English Paper. Is this healthy for us
as a parent? Censorship is good in term of '' ''. They need to be
guidelines and certain thing should be revealed to the public for
improvement and awareness. If not someday the public will blame the
government ' We don't this thing happen and why is this happen and so on'.
It is not healthy at all if it does happened.

This is the one of the many things that the government should aim at in
order to gain back the confidence of the public. The world is going toward
IT and where do we think we are going to hide. Some day it may even happen
that we use only card to identify ourselves around world and can never be
replaceable and traceable at any where in earth!

Boys beaten by Sec 5 pupils

COLLEGE HOSTEL ASSAULT

Attack leaves prefect with broken ribs MUAR (Johor) -- A school prefect
nearly died after he was beaten by his classmates for an hour. Several of
Masrizal Massor's ribs were fractured and one of it almost thrust into his
lungs, which could have cost his life, Harian Metro reported. Masrizal and
his classmate Mohd Yusof Harun -- both 16 -- were assaulted at about 2 am
last Saturday at the Mara Science Junior College's hostel here.

Seven Secondary 5 students took turns to repeatedly punch and kick Masrizal
and Mohd Yusof, who are Sec 4 students. Their actions were witnessed by many
other students in the hostel. However, the other students were too afraid to
do anything to help the victims.

During the attack, Masrizal broke his ribs and hurt his shoulders, and had
to be warded in Muar Hospital, while Mohd Yusof suffered bruises and was
given outpatient treatment. Masrizal is now in a stable condition. He told
Harian Metro that the attack happened on Saturday when he was about to go to
sleep after going over work for lessons.

""One of the boys who hit me called me to the room belonging to the
Secondary Five student. He is also called Mohd Yusof,''
 he said.

""When I entered the room, a group of students said they were unhappy with
me and started to kick and punch me on my chest and other parts of my body.

""Seven of them did so until about 3 am. They took turns to abuse both of
us,'' the 16-year-old said.

said although the room's lights were off, he was able to identify his
attackers because the lights along the corridors were on. After the assault,
Masrizal returned to his room without alerting his teachers. He endured his
pain until 9 pm the same day and only asked his teacher to send him to the
hospital as he could not move his right hand. ""The doctor who examined me
confirmed that I have fractured my ribs and injured my shoulders and had to
be warded,'' the beaten boy said.
