PAS : KE ARAH PEMERINTAHAN ISLAM YANG ADIL

Assalamu'alaikum,
Sangka UMNO/BN, dengan mengeploitasikan kuliah Tuan Guru Nik Aziz (mengenai
aurat), rakyat akan membenci Tuan Guru/PAS/BN.
Itu sangka UMNO. Atau lebih tepat itu salahsangka UMNO. Itu rancangan UMNO.
Yang jadi sebaliknya. Rakyat makin sayang pula pada PAS/BA/Tuan Guru. Makin
ramai pula hadirin ke ceramah PAS/BA.
Dan yang paling manis, bukan hanya orang Melayu yang semakin sayang Tuan
Guru kerana isu ni, tapi sebahagian orang Cina juga begitu.

Why demonise a good man?
I am pleasantly surprised by the results of your poll on the statement made
by Kelantan Mentri Besar Nik Aziz. It has indicated that many responsible
adults are in fact the silent majority which support public decency and
social responsibility. Many of us parents just keep quiet because we have no
time to write, or we are not willing to confront the new orthodoxy promoted
by some Westernised youngsters.
Whatever the arguments or statistics offered to counter Nik Aziz, it is
still prudent for us to follow the advice. And prudence is not a
quantifiable or rational concept young persons understand.
Many of your young readers, writers and reporters might get angry with me,
but I still have to say it: Only family responsibility and social
experiences teach prudence. We cannot obtain the knowledge of prudence in
universities, local or foreign.
I am happy and glad that in this decadent society, there is at least one
politician with an upright character and social concern to speak up on
issues many youngsters do not like or positively hate. As a mother to a
daughter who suffered before, I just wish to record my gratitude to Nik
Aziz. I hope you understand what I mean by "suffer".
Let us not be obsessed with political correctness. There is a larger picture
of society and a darker zone that many youngsters do not understand. We can
argue very rationally and politically, but the irrational reality in human
life is that right or wrong, it is prudent for females to wear attire
decently.
I do not mind being called conservative or reactionary. I do not think these
labels are degrading as long as our society are kept decent and safe for the
young ones.
