Abu Zahar's daughters in 'hot dispute'

MALACCA: The Home Ministry parliamentary secretary Datuk Seri Abu Zahar Isnin's daughter has lodged a police report against one of her elder sisters, accusing her of splashing hot coffee on her face during a family squabble on Monday.

Marina Abu Zahar, 31, lodged the report at 5.30pm at the Melaka Tengah police headquarters.

Police recorded statements from Marina over the incident, which happened at the elder sister's house in Taman Tasik.

A check at the Malacca Hospital revealed that Marina had gone to the hospital at 4.35pm to seek treatment.

Later, she went to the police station to lodge the report against her 34-year-old sister.

It was learnt the family squabble was related to Marina's six-year-old son, who had told her that his aunt had abused him by twisting his ears.

"This had angered Marina, who picked a quarrel with her sister," said a source close to the family.
