As you point out, the HL7 Xref has been taken down. HL7 international got in
touch last week and requested that it be removed, and obviously as the
copyright holders that's their right. (And they were quite nice about it to
boot).

The current CVS HEAD codebase includes a work in progress feature (a new
structure class generator specifically) which is still stabilizing. You have
hit a bug which has since been fixed, so a CVS update should clear it for
you. Alternately, you might want to check out the RELEASE_1_0
I just noticed that the HL7 Cross Reference site was closed.
This is really a sad new, this site was very handy for us and kept us away from
digging into the specification's pdfs.
Big thanks to the author that did a remarkable job.
Note : just a stupid question, the HAPI project also exposes HL7
