Hi Everyone, Just wanted to announce, after a few months of beta testing and a couple of minor issues resolved, I've uploaded the official release 0.6 of the HAPI library to the site. All the details of what is new are on the site, but the most major change is the new inclusion of the HL7 v2.5.1 and v2.6 message libraries, as well as the new build system and separated release jars.
As always, we would love to hear of any issues you find, as well as any success stories you have. So, what's next for HAPI? In the next release cycle I'm planning on focusing some effort on performance. In running a simple message parsing loop through a profiler, I've identified a few areas where performance could be greatly increased without too much work. I've already checked in a few changes to the CVS HEAD if anyone wants to have a look, which have sped up message parsing by about 30%. If testing goes well on these, hopefully they can be released before too long. Cheers, James
