You can do that with d3d mode and ati catalyst drivers (last I checked).
There's a combination of driver options that makes it 'wallhack' like that.

You know that pink lambda in the valve.wad? That's really the only 'gay'

time, someone has to figure out how to distribute games in todays world.

Leader,
Ignoring Singleplayer and LAN was a mistake. Will be nice to see
these problems fixed ...forever. Thanks.
Exactly.
I want to exhibit my mod at an upcoming trade show - looks like it's
going to be on venerable hl 1.1.1.0 because steam won't run on a lan

I'm sure neither he nor his isp cares jack shit about what he does or

That being said, I don't agree with flagrantly dropping any pretenses

Wow. That really, really sucks.
Then again, hindsight really is 20/20 - you wouldn't be having this
problem if you used linux as your corporate desktop :)
Apart from the humor, this looks to be very well thought out by
professionals... The term 'corporate hackers' comes to mind.
And what does the rest of your email have to do with sobig?
As the webmaster for my mod, I get so much sobig crap that I would
probably be screwed if I didn't have broadband... I get as much from the
oktagone mail servers as from anyone else...
Ugh viruses.

Because I have the catch-all for my domain, I get about 100 of those

Why is it so many people can't bring themselves to remove klez?

When I said that php was better than asp, I didn't mean on the
'functionality' level, I mean heck asp is pretty much visual basic and
you can't go wrong with that. I meant it on an overall implementation
level - you need to be running IIS, which has more holes than swiss

My only comment here is that php is way better than asp ;)

Our mod has three linux .so's in its distribution, compiled with various
dependencies. The answer to your question is yes, you are using too new
of a gcc ;). I believe the valve sdk was originally said to compile with
some form of EGCS. Hey, look on the bright side, your server dlls will

Lo, list ;)
Some of my forum gnomes have been clamouring for me to sell cds

Thanks for any (informed)
Let me get clarification...
You want to create a client that can connect to a server and play, which
is not controlled by the keyboard or mouse, but is controlled over irc?
Are you making this for your own mod or for something like
counterstrike? Something you might want to look into would be the
I thought it was common knowledge that you shouldn't run hlds as root...
When one of my close friends managed to mess up glibc on his system, we
were able to successfully fix it by sending malformed packets to the
hlds he had running on the system, as root. I have also heard in the
past that
Lets turn this into a large, pointless thread, just because we can :)

What do you do when someone blatently steals your code? Code,
compiled or uncompiled, is considered intellectual property in a
majority of the world. Normally I would tell you to pursue legal action
against him, but, alas. Unless you happened to ask him to sign a Non
