Clearly because VALVe said so. Argh, it's annoying - either classify every cvar
as cheats, or only classify the cheat ones. It's getting annoying having every
cvar classified as cheats one by one.

Here's an idea for you. Why don't you report the incorrect ones so that
Valve can fix them?

another idea would be to not touch any cvar

That doesn't really make sense, seeing as Steam is a distribution
platform for games and other things.

I'm pretty sure their master server(s) uses the least amount of

Yeah I support this, I'm amused by the custom tab. I didn't think valve
would have the balls to put it on DOD:S/CS:S.
Now those server ops can join in on the rage.

That would definitely be my preference the Internet Custom is
just confusing and prevents the natural flow of players.
Why anyone would think presenting all the filter options using a
consistent format and in one place is a bad idea is beyond me.

No offence to valve, but why must they go in the face of the vast majority
of their community who want something changed.
It seems basic customer relations to me.. and happier customers = more
business = more money surely?
Consider my name on the list.
Yes, I know. Last night BurtonJ punched me soo hard in the face, he permanently
fractured my Steam! :S

I think they had a good idea to begin with, but they implemented it poorly
and won't admit that it isn't doing the best.
My personal opinion is they should include the tag system under the Change
Filters button, and not de-list, I mean, list servers to the custom tab.

Why does every dev keep trying to reinvent the wheel? Classic server
browser with filters is always the best. Stop telling people which
servers you think they should join and let them decide and if they can't
figure it out on their own that's just called culling the herd.
