We're running a bunch of games servers right now to get some performance
data, but we need to get a bunch more clients to connected to make it
worthwhile. Our goal is to make the servers pretty much

I can give you info on this already. The server will just
slowly eat up more and more RAM until you run out. About
3 or 4 days for me = about 1Gig ram

What kind of hardware do you use on that machine, to host 16 servers ?

Exactly the same thing that is happening with ours. We have a massive memory
leak that gives out about every 2 - 3 days. The server will start reporting
snapshot overflows and start dropping everyone. I get about 300,000K memory
usage before the server goes down.
I didn't have this problem for
Does just connecting and joining a team help or do we need to be able
to run around and whatnot?

The best thing would be to have full servers with people playing like
normal.
If we can start getting them full then I would expect the game
experience to get worse and worse, but playing through this is where we
would get the most useful data.

I was just on owning someone named Prohammer. I get +100 ping, which I'd
imagine to be the same for all of them. :(

Close, it's brohammer. I was trying to get away with playing in an
800x600 window while doing some some other things. It wasn't
working. :)

lol that guy advertising was stupid just annoying. They cant put an admin
plugin in as they wouldnt be a vanilla server. They wont give u rcon cause its
their servers and they are testing the load problems with TF2.
I know but it's fun to ask anyway.

Our servers reboot daily automatically and I don't think we've observed
these symptoms if that helps.
Our graphs of the server usage (players vs memory vs cpu) show a slight rise
in memory over time but not much at all.
May be more obvious if we left a server online without rebooting it for a

Well now that Valve's Dustbowl server is full they can have all the load
testing their hearts desire!
Never miss a thing. Make Yahoo your home page.
Meant to talk about this 2 patches ago but seems that the explosives'
splash damage has almost increased double fold since it was before.
Really notice it with stickies, a sticky before you had to be ~3-6 ft to
get severly damaged, now that has gone up to almost 15. Same for
rockets, they seem to
Ah, that's the same group sending out all the random steam community

Maybe make this a special event, and give out random free passes to play
on just your servers?
or just let me play tf2 on your servers for free, I don't see me leaving
CS:S for a long time but I will stay in your servers if you want. I
would like very much to help find the leaks ;D
