While Valve sits and doesn't add this, someone more proficient with plugins 
could write something that does this:
 - Catch named/described items
 - Create an item with the same characteristics as those items
 - Remove the named/described items and replace with the new ones
 - If any Strange counter gets updated, send it to the GC server as if it was 
on the original weapon (this might be too complicated)

Make an item_whitelist.txt file (or similar, name doesn't matter) in your cfg 
folder and put this one line into it:

unlisted_items_default_to 0

Now in your server config:

mp_tournament_whitelist cfg/item_whitelist.txt

Let me know if this works.

[hlds] Critical glitch on Doomsday

It has come to my attention that due to errors with clipping on the raised part of the map which holds the rocket, Engineers can place buildings inside of it, including sentries, and the sentries can shoot through the walls. Hopefully a fix will be out before this is widespread. Thanks in advance.

The glitch is reproducible on some servers but not on others.
