We have private tf2 servers eating 1200mb of ram...
Such an high memory usage isn't due to (not) statically linked
libraries... but it's caused by bugged source tv the is leaking so much

I get such errors since years, they occur when spawnpoints are blocked
with something (walls, models etc)

Ignore such errors on TF2. Same spawnpoint can be used by multiple
players, unlike in CS Source. It's not likely that errors such as these
get never fixed anyway, like the crack on the displacement in gravelpit,
odd looking fade boxes on some other maps, etc. There are many errors

Leaderboards propably are just like in L4D, from which the matchmaking
idea is gotten anyway. Valve wouldn't go and spit dedicated server hosts
between ranked and non ranked as it breaks the community pretty much down.

Hello,
Small list, no need to fly me out ;-)
Server performance configurable cvars
built in voice program / better voice server integration
built in deathmatch / gungame modes for public play/warmups
recommended leagues on a geographical basis
intensive anti cheat software

The leaderboard will probably require the server to be running plain vanilla
on certain maps and have the owner/renter register the server like TF2 does
for getting into the quickplay.

Thats not a good idea, its better to include them after a short time
into the game if they are popular enough. (like its in TF2)

Good idea.
I think the most important thing is to keep the addons system as it is (or
even more open) :)

Central download spot for custom maps would be awesome and they could be
accepted as long as they don't use anything illegal, such as soundfiles
which the mappers d not have permission to use for etc.
Right now TF2 custom map model where maps get integrated to actual game

A working Anti-Cheat would be great, but that will probably never happen.

The source engine is modular by nature, it would be extremely hard for it
not to be as moddable.

Please don't break CentOS 5.6. I'm pretty sure many hosters use this
distro. Upgrading to CentOS 6 is afaik not possible and a

Well the crashes still occurs so this update could have been a fix for the

Few Mb of ram usage in + is nothing compared to the Source TV leaking 1-2Gb of
ram :/
Flethcer please give us some feedback if you are working on the memory leak
problem.
