It is a thoroughly excellent group, and will give you a standard of
orchestral playing that is as good as anything you will experience before
becoming a regular professional youself. A large proportion of professionals

Thanks to everyone for your advice. I've decided to go ahead and pass
on this particular horn; the price was definitely appealing, but at this
point I don't want to get a horn that will be that limiting. I think my
teacher must have played a 667 (it was a Yamaha with a Geyer wrap,
I have a 666, the predecessor to the 668. It is a significantly different
horn than the 667; the former (666/668) is loosely based on the Conn 8D,
with a big bell and similar sound, while the 667 is a smaller bell.

I just stumbled on this little Vivaldi concerto da camera, RV 97. It is
scored for viola d'amore, 2 oboes, 2 hunting horns and basso continuo.
Lovely little cupcake and very delicate, as Vivaldi can often be, except
when the horns are tooting; then it's more like a traffic jam. Coupling
