Adminstrators ? Administrators ? They have a certain policy
described at Why doing things in a simple way, if there is
a complicate confusing way ?. That´s their philosophy.

I think teachers picking over instruments for their students is a great idea

When a batch came in to Paxman, Douglas Moore used to test
each horn for them and tell them which ones should be
returned as being substandard.
By the way, I neglected to mention that as far as my memory serves
The joke was always that the best ones stayed in Germany, the second best
came to England and the rest went across the Atlantic. I'm sure it isn't true.
I have had two Alex 103's and both have been superb. Three of my students
currently have 103's and they too are excellent instruments.
