Hello Steve, if the mouthpiece is drilled to a wider bore,
it is ruined in most cases. It might be better to return the
mouthpiece & get another one with the new bore - direct from
the manufacturer.

Ah, so this is the same gauge as, e.g., when I used to buy 16 gauge speaker
wire?

Dear Bob and list,
The advantage of going to a pack and ship store and having them pack is a
guaranteed reimbursement of insurance funds if the horn is damaged.? One of the
UPS managers told me: "We packed it therefore we are liable for it and will

Greetings, Horneraries --
A month ago at a Coast Guard Auxiliary ceremony in Minnesota, a recorded
version of "Taps" for brass quintet (I think) was played. It was incredibly
moving and beautifully harmonized. I have been unable to track it down on the
'net, and wonder if anyone in this group
I think it would have to be the current copyright owner.
I was successful a few years ago in getting permission to make a
limited number of copies of an out - of - print score for my conducting
class.

I played it when I got my master's, and wanted to play it again several years

For what it's worth, the manuscript of the concerto (with band, as it was
written) is at the Vandercook College of Music in Chicago:

I'll let the legal scholars debate the merits of this case. I do want to
make one comment, however. In one of the responses I read it was suggested
that, for expensive horns, one should take the instrument to a pack-and-ship
store for a professional packing job. This is a really bad idea. Those

Don't know if it's still in print or not.
