I like to think that communities are stronger when we collaborate. We just
need to make it easier to help out with 'task' items in each of the working

Hi everyone, I'm Francesco, a volunteer of a small NGO based in Italy that
work in west Africa (www.rasmataonlus.org).
In 2015 our goal is to make an OSM based map of water wells in the region
of our project and after that, drill one water well.
I would like to do:
- search Open Data useful
IMO, it works most motivating when the agencies themselves post articles
about how they use OSM data. Those messages can be spread via HOT to have a
broader view within OSM.
For the ebola mission, I was very motivated when I read some articles about
it on the Red Cross website.

This is personal view, from the existing mapping I've been doing the first
question I would ask is what is the data quality like for the data you wish
to import. A lot of what I've seen is poor quality. Does the area you're
interested in have decent satellite imagery? See if you can find it on
