Hi,

We have made the code for calculating the mandelbrot fractal. We were
giving it the number of hpx threads to be created and amount of pixels to
be calculated by each thread and we compared the time taken in various
combinations.

We want to contribute by working on a project. So we went through the 2016
Gsoc project ideas list. Keeping in mind the time constraints, we think we
would be able to complete *Implement a faster associative container for
GIDs* project. We have started working on it by going the through the code
and trying to identify how GIDs are generated, stored, their composition,
etc. We are also studying how agas is initialised at the runtime. Please
guide us about a few things. Like we saw that GIDs are being stored in
unordered map, so for experimenting with n-ary trees, what other things
would we have to change besides the the functions which are storing and
accessing the GIDs. Also, we have explored the addressing service but
couldn't understand it completely. If you could explain it's overall
working with it's components, it would be very helpful.
