*Role : Oracle Hyperion Essbase Administrator/Developer Location : Manhathan ,NYDuration : long termFace to Face After Telephonic * Oracle Hyperion Essbase Administrator/Developer will administer, support, develop and maintain Hyperion system and Essbase, including metadata management, configuration, customization, data loads, reconciliations, hierarchy updates, calculation script updates, validation rules, MDX, ETL, system upgrade, backup and user security. The position will be integral in supporting our business users to help them realize new features and enhancements while maintaining the system integrity as well as stability. *Skills & Requirements:* · Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, IT or related field required · 5-8 years of IT work experience in Oracle Hyperion *EPM* and *Essbase administration (version 11.1.2 or higher)* · 5 years of experience with Oracle Hyperion Planning and Oracle Business *Intelligence (OBI)* · Prior working experience with Oracle *Exalytics* In-*Memory Machine* · Design, Implement and Support Hyperion Product Suite *(11.1.2.3)* including o *Hyperion Planning* o *Hyperion Shared Services* o *Hyperion Workspace* o *Hyperion Essbase* o *Financial Reporting* o *Hyperion Financial Data-Quality Management Enterprise Edition (FDMEE)* o *Hyperion Financial Reports* o *Hyperion Smart View* · Experience with installation, upgrade, configuration, tuning, monitoring, and administration of EPM suite (Planning, Essbase, IR, FR, Smart View, LCM) in Linux based environment · Excellent problem solving and debugging skills to troubleshoot complex technical issues · Experience in *MDX* (Multidimensional Expressions), *ASO/BSO Cubes* (Aggregate Storage Option/Black Storage Option) · Ability to use and enforce best practices and controls in areas of methodology, architecture, security, change and configuration management and compliance · In-depth understanding of internet architecture: web servers, application servers, software configuration and troubleshooting · Exceptional experience with production and development support which includes knowledge in installing and configuring Application server and Web server domains: WebSphere & Web Logic, deploying and scheduling jobs, troubleshooting issues and setting up security · Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (*SDLC*) and ability to follow the process and provide the appropriate documentation when needed · Strong scripting skills with an administration language such as *Shell, Bash, Perl, Python* · Technical expertise in *PL/SQL scripting* · Ability to work in a high volume and fast-paced environment · Strong technical background and analytical skills with the ability to continuously improve processes and proactively propose solutions · Excellent verbal and written communication skills · A motivated and self-starter individual who can work with minimal guidance and direction · Prior working experience with *FDMEE* is preferred · Experience integrating with *SAP ECC* financial system is preferred · Experience with *Oracle RDBMS* is a plus · Retail Industry experience a big plus *Responsibilities:* · Provide day-to-day administration and end user support of the Hyperion environment including trouble shooting both system as well as data issues · Establish connectors to source system *(SAP ECC)* · Maintain system user-roles and security functionality within the application · Work closely with Finance users to design, implement and ensure month end closing and reporting process run smoothly · Translate business requirements into technical design specifications and implementation plan · Load data and reconcile back to source systems to ensure data accuracy · Maintain and administer Essbase, including metadata management, data loads, reconciliations, hierarchy updates, calculation script updates, *MDX, ETL, data backups, and user security* · Install, implement and support of *Oracle Business Intelligence server* and related core products · Support an integrated metadata environment consisting of both operational and business metadata ensuring the quality and integrity of the data · Identify opportunities to optimize performance of existing systems and data structures · Design and implement data quality and data auditing processes · Coordinate technical and user acceptance testing for upgrades and new development efforts · Maintain knowledge of product upgrades, new functionality and communicate relevant findings to the IT and Business teams · Perform various maintenance functions to include the following: applying patches, database tuning/optimization and administration, dimensions, dense/spares configuration, partitioning , write member formulas & calc scripts, load rules, report scripts, administer setup and security, support multiple environments and versions and maintain system stability · Coordinate issue resolution with internal and external resources and communicate impacts of maintenances, upgrades, outages, etc. · Manage and enforce data governance policy associated with Hyperion · Maintain consistent delivery of reporting solutions by following development standards and project management methodology · Provide
