PA* *Duration: 12 months* Job Description As a Cyber Intrusion Analyst (Information Security Analyst Sr.) reporting to the Cyber Security Department, you will be a part of a diversified financial services firm that reflects the needs, values and goals of our customers, employees, communities and shareholders. As an Intrusion Analyst, you will perform network security monitoring in order to identify and validate security incidents, reconstruct network activity and support the incident response life-cycle. In addition, you will coordinate with a diverse range of departments to ensure the health and integrity of the enterprise environment. The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications • 4+ years of cyber security focused experience. • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, cyber security, intelligence analysis or related field or 7+ years of combined technical and cyber security experience. • Solid understanding of core technical concepts such as IT networking, TCP/IP, encryption standards and multiple Operating Systems. • Detailed knowledge of common cyber security incident types such as denial of service attacks, malicious software infections, active intrusion techniques, and misappropriate use scenarios. • Experience utilizing a Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) system and common network monitoring platforms. • Proven ability to analyze network traffic for malicious activity and perform packet analysis. • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to effectively prioritize tasks. • Possess an industry recognized certification in cyber security such as GCIA, GCIH, CISSP or similar. • Scripting ability in Python and a deep understanding of command line tools such as grep and tcpdump preferred.
