*Job Description:*

Anixter is seeking a Java Architect for a temporary need. This person will
work directly with Java development teams on multiple projects. They will
have hands-on role expanding Anixter’s SOA and assisting developers as they
transition to WebSphere 8.5 from prior WebSphere versions.

*Responsibilities:*

         Designing and developing enterprise RESTful services on a
WebSphere platform using Spring MVC in accordance with business
requirements.

         Providing support and guidance to development teams on Java,
WebSphere, and Spring.

         Participating in code reviews to ensure development teams are
complying with Anixter standards and industry best practices.

         Using Atlassian JIRA to communicate status to project leads.

*Qualifications:*

         Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.

         Prior experience with Spring 3.x, JSF 2.x, Spring MVC, REST, and

Summary

The EDW Project Manager in the Information Technology Department is
responsible for the successful delivery of the Enterprise Data Warehouse
project through a disciplined IT project management processes in close
collaboration with business partners, team members and various IT
functions. The EDW Project Manager will assume end-to-end project
accountability to ensure delivery of IT solutions and services that provide
the highest value in support of the business



* ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: *

   - Provide project leadership to motivate project team members, set
   achievable objectives, maintain a positive outlook, take responsibility,
   make decisions and provide constructive feedback.
   - Use negotiation skills to achieve successful project outcomes around
   issues, scope, schedule, costs/budget and resources. Develop upfront
   estimates of time and resource utilization.
   - Manage the project /budget process and ensure project resources are
   applied appropriately.
   - Matrix  manage project managers and teams from other IT groups who
   supply resources and services to the project  including managing
    relationships with the Product Team and/or stakeholders.
   - Arbitrate and resolve conflict within the project.  Assure that all
   team members understand and accept project roles and responsibilities.
   - Build, track and monitor project plan(s) using project management
   software to effectively manage project deliverables.   Identify, track, and
   remove impediments to project success.
   - Ensure project data is accurate and available for review by management
   and ensure that management is proactively informed of potential problems
   and risks so that they can be mitigated or resolved before they become
   insurmountable.
   - Utilize a proactive change control and risk mitigation process.
   Analyze risk and mitigation accordingly, including establishing contingency
   plans and initiating corrective action.
   - Work with contractors/vendors to tightly integrate them into project
   work streams.
   - Coordinate participation of different tech and business groups in
   requirements gathering, specifications, design, development and
