This is a *6 Months* *Contract* extendible Position based in *NYC, NY.* Role: Business Analyst with Financial services Location: NYC, NY Duration: 6 months *Qualifications, Experience, and Education:* · 5-7 years of experience as a business analyst in the Financial Services industry · Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience *Skills:* · Subject matter expertise in Internal Audit business practices and systems · Strong analytical, decision-making and problem solving skills · Demonstrated ability to interpret business user needs and translate them into functional and operational requirements. · Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally and confidently with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts. · Strong facilitation skills and proven experience driving consensus across multiple stakeholders. · Good presentation and leadership skills. · Process-driven analysis skills and a background in various requirements elicitation methods. · Proficiency with Waterfall, RUP and Agile SDLC processes. · Strong comprehension of best practices for user interface design for web and client/server applications · Strong comprehension of best practices for high level data modeling and database design · Proficient in MS Visio or other process/system modeling tools · Proficient in MS Excel *Key Responsibilities* · Analyze Internal Audit department’s business requirements, define use cases, design web application user interface and create test scenarios · Lead and conduct current state systems and business process analysis and produce detailed process flow, data flow and sequence diagrams. · Provide clear structure for identifying and evaluating options. · Lead design sessions with the development team and ensure that functional and technical designs appropriately address all business requirements · The business Analyst will provide business analysis and project management for the design and development of a new system to automate and streamline the business process of client’s Internal Audit department. The business analyst will carry out and lead activities required to analyze Internal Audit’s business needs and translate them into a clear and concise business requirements document. The business analyst will be responsible for conducting JAD sessions with business users, analyzing existing systems and manual processes, streamlining business processes and designing a new system for managing and running all aspects of the Internal Audit department.
