*Bourntec* is seeking for a professional *Lawson Business Analyst *to join one of our client team in* Jacksonville, Florida* *Position: IT Business Analyst – Lawson * *Location: Jacksonville, Florida* *Duration: 6+ Months* *JOB DESCRIPTION:* Executes, documents and carries out small projects in the Lawson application, actively participating in all phases of the SDLC. Identifies, assesses and manages risks to the success of the project. Using business knowledge investigates operational needs, related organization designs, problems and opportunities contributing to the recommendation of improvements in automated and non-automated components of new or changed processes. Assists in defining acceptance tests for recommendations. Develops a clear understanding of the business processes and supports existing systems for all supported business lines (areas). Elicits and discovers requirements and rules from a cross-functional team of operational management and other stakeholders. Selects appropriate techniques for the elicitation of detailed requirements taking into account the nature of the required changes, established practice and the characteristics and culture of those providing the requirements. Uses Lawson tools to support the Purchasing, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Inventory, Billing and AR application suite including use of SQL and designer. Responds to and resolves straight forward service related and customer issues for Lawson application users. Research with the customer to fully diagnose the issue; respond to the customer within established timelines utilizing standardized solutions. Resolve straightforward cases immediately; determine resources required to resolve more complex cases. Troubleshoot cases and follow appropriate documentation steps to annotate all activities undertaken in order to resolve. Escalate unresolved customer issues as necessary to ensure timely resolution. Identify service gaps and escalate as appropriate. As part of a team you will help develop business finance related applications and processes for internal Crowley use. Interact with different global financial systems (e.g. Lawson, Microsoft AX) third parties, and multiple internal departments (Finance, IT Project teams, IT Support teams, Operations, Process Improvement). *REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:* -2-5 years of Lawson specific business analysis experience. -Familiar with the Lawson software, including use of SQL and designer. -Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. -Persuasive, patient manner and team leadership capabilities. -Previous experience eliciting requirements is preferred. -Requires the ability to effectively manage small projects that may vary in nature and scope. -Experience with Lawson specific functionality (preferably Procurement, AP, GL, AR, Invoice or Billing), is required.
