*Client Job Title: Java, multithreading, JDBC, socket prog, design patterns * *Posting Job Title: Java, multithreading, JDBC, socket prog, design patterns* *Client Details: Citibank* *Contract Duration: 12 month + * *Location: NYC or Warren NJ, New York 10004* Minimum Requirements: Here are the technical requirements • Expert-Level Java server-side software design and development • Solid core Java and multithreading experience required. • Must understand the internals of JDBC. • Strong knowledge of socket programming and proficient in TCP/IP and UDP based network programming (sockets, datagrams and multicasting) in Java. • Database experience working with different DB technologies. • Solid understanding of the major design patterns. • Experience working with any Parser Generators like ANTLR • Experience writing any code generators based on your custom grammar. • Database experience working with different DB technologies. • Writing and tuning complex SQL queries • Big Data experience is a big plus(Hive, Pig etc). • Past experience with Prestodb or similar distributed SQL query engine would be a huge plus • Any experience extending or contributing to open source frameworks is a big plus. *Applicant must meet ALL of these requirements.* *Position 2:* *Description:* *2 Java positions.* We want the new resource to work on 2 projects 1) JDBC Driver for Data Bridge 2) SQL Translation framework. Data Bridge Overview DB(Formerly UAL) is a Global Data Access & Provisioning Platform. DB provides fully automated Federation and Integration of geographically distributed and technology heterogeneous data sources, storing large volumes of complex data. It can extract, process and deliver data from many sources to many targets located at any point of the globe. Even though DB consumes data from different sources(Genesis, FFS, PEARL etc.), it hides the complexity of the data structures and sources and presents a single, controlled, subject area-oriented information to the business consumer called a Reference Model. Clients create subscriptions on the Reference Model and select the sources from which they want the data.
