I tested 2016.2 on a Macbook Pro under OS X 10.11.5 (El Capitan). I have
only tried the 3-steps: Load images, Align, Create Panorama. Works

I figured that I was doing out-of-source builds, as recommended, but
that there were stale CMake cache files in the source tree. A quick "hg
status | xargs rm -f" got rid of them, and a quick "hg update -C ." just
to be on the safe side, and re-cmake'ing in the build directory, sorted

There are working trusty builds for 2016.3 (currently hg7426) at
https://launchpad.net/~hugin/+archive/ubuntu/nightly. Are you using the
same dependencies like these builds? hg7369 was quite some time ago, the
nightly builds have been active then and I don't remember this breakage.

Why is outdated? For win32 - Hugin 2016 can not stitch a panorama, Hugin
2015 nobody compiled, Hugin 2014 can't start anyway.
The last working version for win32 is Hugin 2013. Why is outdated.

Hugin-2016.2.0-beta1-win32.msi is not

I download HuginSetup_2016.0.0-win32.exe from SourceForge.net and
install it. I run Hugin, add images, configure options, preview panorama
and try to stitch. But get an error. I've found that files enblend.exe.
and enfuse.exe "... is not a valid Win32 application".
Hugin 2016 requires OS X 10.11. I'm on OS X 10.10 and can't test.
In Hugin 2014 on OS X 10.10 the project is opened but the contents of the
clipboard is replaced by a TIFF image.
