The ability to set a mask as inactive, rather than having to delete the mask.
When dealing with a panorama with a number of moving objects, sometimes
compromises have to be made as to what is left in and what is removed; being
able to disable a mask would
1. The option -m only affects the image cache.
If Enblend/Enfuse are built w/o it they automatically /
naturally use all available (virtual) memory.
2. You can get a more dynamic adjustment of the
image cache size by tapping the free(1) or vmstat(1).

Use the identify tool. When you click on an overlapping area the control point
tab opens with the two images selected and you can edit the control points.

Support seam editing
cpfind can already detect overlaps like this and only match
between known overlapping photos, the code needs to be
exposed as an option (currently it is used as the last step
of the multirow option).
You can use the pre-align setting of the control point detector inside
Hugin. This checks
