That's a feature, not a bug. No pun intended.
The combo box and the optimize button moved to the Photos tab. So you
can optimize from the Photos tab. (In the old gui in the case most
controls on the optimize tab where without function/could not be used).
If you need finer control above optimizer,
drag and drop for images is gone in hugin-mac-2012.1.0.6152, sigh.
I tried simple and advanced mode, but neither the images table nor the Fast
Preview accepts my JPGs that I drag there from the Finder. Mac OS X 10.6.8
It works in 2012.0.0
