Error during
I can reproduce the bug on an own imageset. However, all (applicable)
projections showed this error. I ended up converting my input files from
png to tif, that did the trick.

This is not the same as bug 706513 but thank you for trying to avoid
duplicates.
The project file is the .pto, not the .pto.mk (Makefile). Can you please
attach the .pto file to this tracker ticket?
Also, would you mind attaching the two input images?
