as well as:

It happens every time with every file that has masks.

Also, I have found that I was wrong when I said it happens sporadically. On my
computer this bug is active on any Hugin project that uses masks. If there is
any question of exactly what this bug is, please take a look at the second
attachment I have posted. It includes annotations that explain
I can't reproduce on Windows. Also not with the provided pto file.

This seems to only happen sporadically.
Perhaps it has to do with the size of the mask? The one in example extends out
to near the edges of the image. some of the other smaller masks on different
images in the same project behave correctly.
