[Hugin-devs] [Bug 892493] [NEW] incorrect layering of checkboxes in Move/Drag tab

2011-11-19 Thread zarl
Public bug reported:

The checkmarks for displayed images (in the Move/Drag tab of the Fast
Panorama preview window) are in the wrong layer, i.e. they appear below
the checkboxes. Compare with the other tabs which show the checked
checkboxes correctly.

Spotted in 2011.5.0.5665:2ce25c48723c (built by Harry van der Wolf) on
Mac OS X 10.6.

** Affects: hugin
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: New

[Hugin-devs] [Bug 892508] [NEW] redundant columns in project list of PTBatcherGUI

2011-11-19 Thread zarl
Public bug reported:

Usually (i.e. using defaults in Hugins stitch dialog) both project file and
output files are located in the same folder. If that's the case both columns
Project and Output prefix in the project list of PTBatcherGUI display
almost the same information: each shows the complete path to the project while
Project shows the pto extension and Output prefix hides it.

A more concise presentation would rearrange order (first file, then path) and
omit the path in the second column if both paths are identical, e.g. like this:
Project column: project-name.pto (in /path/to/my/project/in/progress/)
Output prefix column: output-prefix

If both paths differ then only the relative difference of the second path is
shown, e.g. like this:
Project column: project-name.pto (in /path/to/my/project/in/progress/)
Output prefix column: output-prefix (in ../../stitched/)

Another approach would be to only show the path as 'help text' when
hovering with the mouse over one of these columns.

Also, PTBatcherGUI doesn't remember column widths set by the user.
Preset column width is absurd, i.e. too long for ID and too short for
some other columns. An automatic approach to set the width according to
the content would be nice to have. If the user sets the width this
should be remembered by PTBatcherGUI.

Current behaviour is observed in recent versions of Hugin / PTBatcherGUI
on Mac OS X using a 1600x1200 display, on smaller screens (e.g. laptops)
this might be rather annoying.

[Hugin-devs] [Bug 892637] [NEW] Errors in translatable strings

2011-11-19 Thread zarl
Public bug reported:

In the following strings I suspect (no native speaker...) some mistakes:

WARNING: existing files with be silently overwritten.
- will be...

  Optimizing lens distortions parameters...
- distortion

Hugins preview window can use multiple threads for processing.\n
Set this to the number of processors or processor cores available in your
system
- This must be the Fast Preview window, right? Then there is an apostrophe
missing in Hugins. The second sentence seems to need a max (the maximum
number of processors) and lacks a full stop.

Automatic stitch projects after (successful) running assistant.
- This string in PTBatcherGUI (checkboxes on the right) looks a bit odd to
me...

  Automatic stitch after assistant
- same here

And a tooltip seems to be incorrect in the Fast Preview window -
Preview tab: if the checkbox show control points is selected, all CPs
are shown in green, yellow and red according to their quality. However,
the respective tooltip says Show lines between the ends of each control
point. The longer the line, the bigger the error.
