looking back two and a half years I am ashame for my own bug report.
The file at http://www.photopla.net/hugin/hdr/enblend-hdr-errors.7z
only shows the result but does not give any input images for testing.
I've removed the file. I am digging into my archives for the source
images and will run a

Seems similar to bug #679520 . (black areas. ).
I'm starting to suspect enblend has an uninitialized memory access somewhere.
This leads to ugly stripes in some cases, and black areas in others.
