Sometimes it's good to see how the sausage is made :-). I agree that the
assistant would be able to do the same thing more or less on this simple
stitch and would be the practical method in many cases. For newbies wanting
to stop being newbies, seeing what goes under the hood can be

I fixed this in the repository. Now the assistant (and also the photometric
optimizer) have now problems with your images.
