Okay... I decided to try to compile it and am running into the same problem:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:hugin/hugin-builds
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:hugin/nightly
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install hugin enblend panini
it will not find panini.

well I removed hugin (apt-get remove hugin) and I figure comiling it from
source might get everything to work. I thought to compile it I would simply
have to untar it and then run make and make install. not so. After it
