Hi Andreas, I have a question regarding the activation of the integrated card in BIOS mode. How does it need to be configured ? Is the BIOS file loaded by the BIOS emulation layer fully functional (it is officiallly only meant to use the discrete card) ?
Thanks in advance, metatech ========================== To: Lekensteyn <lekenst...@gmail.com> From: Andreas Heider <andr...@meetr.de> Date: Thu, 08 Mar 2012 02:47:51 +0100 Cc: hybrid-graphics-linux@lists.launchpad.net In-reply-to: <CALBR5Zxh5Z+y2vWWcTym56Hb1Vdjb3PpSbbRAaDWbkpL=xm...@mail.gmail.com> >Luckily it's possible to also enable the integrated card in BIOS >emulation mode. After staring a lot at the output of lspci -xxx from >both EFI and BIOS boot I noticed that this just requires flipping one >bit in the pci configuration space. This can be done by adding "setpci >-d 8086:0044 54.b=0b" in grub. This value will most likely only work for >this exact model, a MBP 6,2.
