Hi,
We're currently using the XMITIP freeware.
Is there any product with a real technical support ?

Hi,
All of our program librairies are in LLA.
When our Production team transfert new program version in one of these
librairies, they refresh the LLA in batch mode via an IEBEDIT (/*$VS,'F
LLA,UPDATE=02') where CSVLLA02 is a dynamically generated member.
But, when the update lla failed, the
Hi,
We're currently using FDR.
It's can restore multivolume sequential and VSAM from full volume backups if
you purchase and use ABR (HSM-like option)...
It's a very good product : simple and efficient

Hello,
I'm currently working on implenting SMS and I'm wondering if it's
possible to override the dynamic volume count via a JCL parameter.
I saw that UNIT=(unitname,x) where x is the number of volume for the
allocation but it doesn't override the dynamic volume count...
I don't want to modify
Relief and only
applies if
Space Constraint Relief . . . Y
Why would you want to override the Dynamic Volume Count if it is going to allow
an allocation that would otherwise fail?

Hello,
I'm working on a project : moving a lot of tape datasets to Dasd.
I'm wondering if it's possible to keep the creation/last reference date
of the dataset during this migration (non-SMS datasets only)?
Thanks a lot in advance for your lights,

Hello,
I'm wondering if there is an existing exit (or an ADRDSSU statement
option; but I don't find it...) that allows us to print the successfully
and unsuccessfully dumped or copied datasets to datasets...
Thanks a lot in advance for your lights,

Hello,
I'm wondering if the VVDS MUST be cataloged or not...
All of our VVDS have the following file naming convention :
SYS1.VVDS.Vvolser
And are definied as with this IDCAMS statement :
DEFINE CLUSTER (NAME(SYS1.VVDS.Vvolser) -
NIXD VOL(volser) -
But when you defined it with the following statement:
DEFINE CLUSTER (NAME(SYS1.VVDS.Vvolser) -
NIXD VOL(volser) -
TRK(45,1))
It is automatically catalogued...
What is the step to catalog?

Hello,
We're going to use SMS allocation in our z/OS 1.4 Production systems.
I have a little problem: a lot of our job batch use IEHLIST utility
LISTPDS command to retrieve the member list of some PDS.
With this utility, you have to put the right volser to make it
working...
But, with our SMS
Hello,
I'm currently working on a project where we have to dump on tape (3592
Jaguar 2) about 6To in 6 hours (~1To/h).
We are using FICON Express 2Go connected on a z/800 mainframe.
Does anyone know the block size of an ADRDSSU physical dump?
We are wondering if we need or not software like

Hello to everyone,
I have a strange problem with a TSO session...
On this session, under the ULOG panel, when we enter an OS command, we
don't see the answer...
I have look at the WTPMSG TSO profile option but it doesn't change
anything...
Does anyone have an idea?
Thanks a lot in advance,
suggest testing with the D T command as this is v.fast and you
should always get a response.

Hello,
I'm wondering if there is any product that allows dumping an offline
volume.
In fact, each night, we backup all our production's 3390 DASDs on EMC
BCVs.
I would like to save them on 3592 using ADRDSSU...
In course, all of these BCVs are offline.
Is there any product that allows it?
Hello,
I would like to know if there is an XML parser available on z/OS?
Thanks a lot in advance for your help,

Hello,
I'm currently dealing with a big problem.
First I'm not a big specialist in zSeries tape storage management :-)
We currently have two sites with a distance about 300-400m.
They want move one of them away at ~60km linked with one DWDM fiber.
We are using a Peer-to-Peer VTS and it

Hello,
I'm going to add an initiator in a given class.
Actually, I have 60 defined initiators and PARTNUM in the INITDEF macro
is set to 60 too.
Must PARTNUM exactly match the number of defined initiators?
Can't it be larger?
And what could I monitor when I add new initiators?
Thanks a lot in
