We've been running JES/328X for years with mostly just success. The version we
have is Version 3.2.0.
Recently we've been encountering this series of errors:
BAZ202 TLU SESSION STARTED
BAZ012 T023,RTNCD=0C0B REQUEST CANCELLED - SESSION TERMINATED
BAZ254 T023,NSEXIT - SESSION TERMINATED
BAZ254
Thanks for the information. :D

We've had SRAM from CA going back to the DOS days. In those day's we actually
had CA-Sort. We are now Z/os and management is questioning why we still have
it since we use IBM Sort. We have other CA products but no longer have CA-Sort.
Anyone from CA know?
Just got an email Jobtrac 3.5 support extended to 3-2-2009.

Well, I got all of the messages about 3.5 going off support. Matter of fact
we had a planning session the first of the year and since I'm kind of the CA
guy here, my boss told me to list everything that needed upgrading, which I
did. A lot of it was CA, Librarian, TPX, CA-11, Jobtrac, etc. I ended
I'd thought I'd read about doing this somewhere. We have a d/l of a large
database occurring monthly and it would require something like this.
Thanks.

I tried an installed features list, but that is not acceptable to the shopz
folks. Like some JCL, if I may. ;)

USSTAB - fine - but why only some of the LUs?
To reply to that question only, you don't need USSTAB's for printers.

It still leaves a few questions un answered.
Are all of the sessions on the AS/400 either 3270 or 5250
So many responses, so little I know. I believe the project (as my boss is
wont to call it) to connect the 'new' as400 to the mainframe, is probably
(but I'm not completely sure of this) going to be running the same programs
the older one did. They did mostly inhouse apps of a database nature, and
I hope I don't sound too stupid here, but I am trying to define an AS400 to
the mainframe (a z/os system). Previously this AS400 was defined using a
SWNET definition which pointed to a TIC off a 3745. Now the AS400 has been
replaced and only has an IP address to identify it. Someone been this
Perhaps I need to explain further. To put your fears at rest, our 3745 is
alive and well. We have several other AS400's defined and still functioning
through the 3745. They are all defined as SWNET type applications. Even the
AS400 which is being replaced is still defined there, however it is/has
I've already received the tape not realizing that if I added HOLDDATA to the
receive I would have received a separate file containing holddata. I tried a
listing using GIMSMP and got short lines wherein the holddata mostly looks
like this:
HOLDERROR = AK03409 ++HOLD(HCI6400) FMID(HCI6400)
Looking to offload data from Infoman (Version 6.3) to a text data file.
Anyone know of a product that will do that?
We are converting (actually we have partially converted) to a Java based
project system (which is all we used Infoman for anyway) and would just like
to add the existing projects
Anyone know what library this is in.
Error we get in ISPF is COMMAND ISRROUTE NOT FOUND.
No error message, nothing else.
Just curious

On our os390 2.10 system we used a program called SMFDUMP as the program
name in some of our SMF jobs, we also used IFASMFDP which is the correct
program name. I don't remember setting this up specificaly. Now on zos 1.4
we get program not found for SMFDUMP. Are we missing something in the
We still have our 2.10 system up, so we were able to copy to the z/os
system. Hopefully this will work.
Thanks to everyone.

Due to our coming late to the table of zOS, we have an enormous load of
ptf's to bring us up to the present day, which I requested from ShopZ. When
they were received it was 4 compressed tapes! Is there a way to have IBM
break this up so we could apply them much easier?
