This may be common knowledge for HDS customers, but you do need a Compatible PAV license on the subsystem in order to install your HyperPAV license. HyperPAV rocks, but watch your RMF queuing reports {or MXG or whatever) to ensure you're not experiencing delays from alias shortages. John

Dave, The 'WLMPAV' value of 'Yes' is correct for both Dynamic PAV HYPERPAV. The setup is the same for both; the only difference is the HYPERPAV feature added on the 2107 storage subsystem. We had Dynamic PAV before HYPERPAV. You can get by with fewer 3390A devices for HYPERPAV. Regards
